Early Years Nursery Education Funding
Every child is eligible to get 15 hours free funding from the next term after 3rd birthday.
However, you may be eligible to get free childcare for your child, who is 9 months old to 4 years old, Check you eligibility on Childcare Choices.
The eligibility for free childcare depends on followings:
Your child’s age and circumstances
Whether you or both parents are working (employed, self-employed, or a director)
Your income (and your partner’s income, if you have one)
Your immigration status
From April 2024, families can receive:
15 hours of funded childcare for children 2+
30 hours of funded childcare for children 3+
From September 2024
15 hours funded childcare for children 9 months+
From September 2025
30 hours funded childcare for children from 9 months to 4 years, all according to parents’ eligibility.
The funded hours are provided across 38 weeks during term time.
